2 December 2024:

On 2 December 2024, FBE members attended our ninth Hybrid General Assembly in Brussels.

At the event, the FBE Secretariat presented the association’s advocacy activities, ongoing projects, publications, communications campaigns and successes stories.

During the General Assembly, it was highlighted that FBE’s Working Group on Carbon Footprint for Flow Batteries will be starting on 12 December 2024.  With 16 confirmed participants so far, the project aims to influence the development of carbon footprint calculation rules for flow batteries, working closely with industry stakeholders to collaborate on a specific methodology. Should organisations still want to take part, please click here.

FBE also raised awareness amongst its members about its latest publication, Reports on Regions: Asia Pacific, which has a particular focus on energy storage policies and flow batteries in the region.

In addition, FBE also welcomed 3 new members: Unbound Potential, KN Energies and FlexBase. We look forward to working closely with them all and supporting their journey as part of our growing network.

Following this, a lively discussion took place on FBE’s most important priorities for 2025.
