As the EU designs the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, we are calling on EU Institutions to allocate a budget for FP10 that matches the scale of Europe’s competitiveness challenge.

A strong Pillar II is essential to keep collaborative, industry-driven RD&I moving from research to real deployment. For the flow battery sector, this kind of funding supports the technology maturation and cross-border collaboration that our industry needs to scale up and deliver on Europe’s energy storage and electrification goals.

We thank EARTO – European Association of Research and Technology Organisations and BusinessEurope for coordinating this important initiative, and we look forward to working with EU Institutions to deliver an FP10 that is ambitious, well resourced and fit for purpose.”
